Biedermeier "Ox Eye" Mirror

We are glad to offer you this unique, elegant mirror made during the Biedermeier period, around 1850. Coming from Vienna, Austria, this mirror has an overlapping inserted sub-structure, which is made of spruce and veneered with walnut. The interesting pattern shows two inner stripes with carved bull’s eye motives. These stripes are highly decorative and covered with an oxidized surface that has a very beautiful old patina. The mirror has a rectangular shape, and its glass has been reconditioned.
