Louis Philippe Vanity Table

This small, original vanity table from the period of Louis Philippe (around 1850) is a highly decorated piece of furniture which consists of a mirror, a drawer and two candleholders. With its baluster-like decorations carved in solid wood, which are mostly present at the oval mirror frame mount and supporting pillar, this vanity table has an articulated and segmented aspect. The table is veneered with burr walnut, and the mirror and lateral candleholders showing brass inlays are pivoted. The pillar is supported by four S-shaped legs and can be disassembled. The glass mirror was renewed during the restoration process.
