Biedermeier Commode Walnut, Austria circa 1820

Phenomenal Biedermeier Commode from the early Biedermeier era around 1820. This early Biedermeier Trumeau from Austria enchants with its very own shape. The convex designed two-door front shows a wonderful book matched walnut veneer and comes with an extra special: a so-called "reinserting" lock, means that you open first one door and then pull-out the key, rotate it for 180 degrees, insert it again and open the other door. The interior is divided by six beautiful ash wood veneered small drawers with small artful brass fittings. A large drawer at the top with different compartments provides additional practically space. Another highlight are the two ebonized columns as well as the floral designed brass fittings. This early Biedermeier Commode/Trumeau is a gem of an early 19th century Biedermeier piece!
